How We Work
Basic Engineering means the engineering development of a project that forms the technical foundation of the future facility, determining what is to be built, using what technology, and outlining the core parameters, equipment, areas, capacities, flows, safety requirements and input data for further design.

The deliverables of the Basic Engineering stage include the following documents:

01 Process Design

Process Design Criteria – a document establishing the process design criteria for the project: capacity, operating mode, feed and product parameters, balances, recoveries, requirements for equipment, redundancy, reagents, water, automation, HSE and operating constraints.

Mass & Water Balance – qualitative and quantitative balance flowsheets, water-slurry flowsheets, metal balance and water balance.

Equipment List – a master list (specification) of core process equipment containing detailed technical, weight and dimensional characteristics sufficient for procurement purposes.

Overall Flow Diagram – the main process flowsheet (OPFD): processing stages, capacity, operating modes, material streams, reagents and key process parameters.

Electrical Single-Line Diagrams (SLDs)

Electrical Load Calculation

02 Drawing

3D Models (basic models showing equipment locations) – a 3D layout model showing the placement of core process equipment, with reserved areas for utilities and equipment.

Overall site layout plan – layout of the Main Process Line on the general site plan.

Overall site elevations & sections – main elevations and sections.

  • 01

We ensure the exact correspondence to the designed values taking into consideration the established tolerances.

  • 02

We use such products as Primavera P6 and Synchro Pro for planning and control purposes.
